19TH EXPEDITIONARY SUSTAINMENT COMMAND

ROKA and US Army share ideas for Logistical Support as Partners - CAMP CARROLL, South Korea – Brig. Gen. Kim Myung-kyu, Republic of Korea Army Consolidated Maintenance Depot commanding general, visited Materiel Support Center-Korea located in Camp Carroll May 13 to tour the area and observe the maintenance procedures of MSC-K.

Col. John P. Chadbourne, MSC-K brigade commander, invited the ROKA general and his chief of staff to share maintenance procedures and processes as well as to solidify the strong 60-year ROK-U.S. alliance.

“This is a great event to develop together. Since we are very similar organizations, it helps us to gain the appreciation of what each other does to help the alliance and what our mission is here in Korea,” Chadbourne said. read more ...

MISSION

19th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) supports maintaining the Armistice and deterrence of north Korean aggression against the Republic of Korea (ROK). Should deterrence fail, the 19th ESC supports Noncombatant Evacuation Operations; conducts Reception, Staging and supports Onward movement of deploying US forces; provides multi-functional sustainment support to Army forces and Army Support to Other Services (ASOS) in support of contingency operations on the Korean peninsula. On order, conducts redeployment operations.
