Brigadier General Thomas A. Harvey

 Brigadier General Thomas A. Harvey received his commission in the Transporation Corp in 1980 after graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate in the ROTC and receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Santa Clara. His command assignments include: 471st Transportation Company, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; 837th Transportation Battalion, Pusan, Republic of Korea; 599th Transportation Group, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii; and the 595th Transportation Group, Kuwait (OIF). Other assignments include: Platoon Leader, B Company, 4th Supply and Transport Battalion, and Maintenance Officer, 43rd Area Support Group, Fort Carson, Colorado; Movement Control Officer JTF-B, Honduras; Combat Developments Officer, U.S. Army Logistics Center, Fort Lee, Virginia; Battalion Adjutant/S-1 and later Battalion Operations/S-3 Officer, 47th Combat Support Battalion, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Battalion Operations/S-3 Officer, MTMC Terminal Pusan, Republic of Korea; J-5 Plans Officer and later as Executive Assistant to the Commander in Chief, USTRANSCOM, Scott AFB, Illinois; Exchange Officer, Royal Logistics Corps, United Kingdom; Director of National Security Affairs, Center for Strategic Leadership, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. Prior to his assignment to Korea, he served in consecutive positions as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Transformation G-37, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations G-3/5/7, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics G-4, US Army Pacific, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. BG Harvey is currently assigned to United States Forces Korea, as the Assistant Chief of Staff, J4 and Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff, C4, Combined Forces Command, Yongsan Army Garrison.

BG Harvey received a Master of Arts degree in Management from Webster University and a Master of Strategic Studies degree from the US Army War College. His military education includes the Transportation Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, and the Command and General Staff College.

 His awards and decorations include: Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary, Korea Defense Service Medal. He wears the Air Assault Badge and is a recipient of the Orders of Saint Christopher and Saint Barbara.
